Golden Memories
poem by Dr. Ram Sharma
We pick flowers of golden moments
from our orchards no more
it keeps humming
in the bee-hive of our minds
golden memories irrigate the crop of today
it makes us vitalize with fragrant flowers
keep your memories safe
to vitalize the senseless life of the present
moment
Sparrow
poem by Dr. Ram Sharma
Sparrow
in our orchard
among the flowers
makes the nest in some corner
we have forgotten our sparrow -- our mate
we made our houses closed with air conditioners
we have no room in our hearts
she has a shaken belief
how will she create her own nest?
how will she chirp in the orchard?
be she has a dim confidence
her days will return
but when ????
Till When
poem by Dr. Ram Sharma
Till when will we keep on wearing masks
till when will we keep on deceiving our selves
till when will we play games behind veils
why do we want to create more darkness
to rule them all?
till when will we keep them diving
till when will keep on shedding crocodile tears
till when will we not be able to know
who is who??
Rootless
poem by Dr. Ram Sharma
Rootless
grown in concrete jungles
without passion and compassion
nurtured by polluted things
craving for mammonistic currency
devoid of His own love
how rootless
man is now
Concrete Souls
poem by Dr. Ram Sharma
How many times have I sojourned
skyscrapers in concrete jungles
home many times have I scorched myself in
senselessness
by colliding my heart and passions
how many times have I wounded my soul
men are drinking petrol and diesel
eating their own heart and soul
is there anyone who can revive life and
who can revive concrete souls?
My Devotion
poem by Dr. Ram Sharma
O! God
how much am I engulfed
in depths unknown
I have forgotten
who I am
from where I came
where I have to go
whom to call
what destination it is
no light
no darkness
silence everywhere
I devote myself to you

Modernity
poem by Dr. Ram Sharma
Weather uncertain
always heat and no rain
scorching heat and hunger
display of money and slumber
lives like dried leaves
wander here and there with heaves
empty pitchers, ponds and rivers
manhatten vast and men clever
